Position: Glue Minder

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: full time, 40 hrs per week over 4 days

Job description:

Machine Operator – Folding Gluer Minder using a fleet of Bobst gluers
This position would involve:

  • Full make ready of straight line, crash lock, and complex designs of carton;
  • Using a wide range of carton substrates;
  • Setting of code reading and quality control equipment;
  • Our quality glue system is HHS, using hot and cold glue and glue detection;
  • Working with high quality print finishes;
  • Troubleshooting for folding and gluing issues;
  • Running a small team;
  • Ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to;
  • Company quality standards are maintained.

The above requires a person with:

  • A proven record of making ready and running gluing folding equipment;
  • In-depth knowledge of gluing/folding styles
  • Experienced in high speed and complex work an advantage;
  • excellent technical and problem solving skills;
  • enthusiasm essential;
  • the ability to work well under pressure;
  • good communication skills;
  • the desire to stay abreast of all new technologies.

Position: Trainee Ink Room Technician

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: full time, shift

Job description:

As a Trainee Ink Room Technician you will work as part of a small team tasked with supplying all ink resources required for our busy print department.  You will aid in the mixing of inks, basic colour matching, record keeping and effective stock management.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Good degree of mathematical capability

This position works double day shift hours (39 hrs per week).

Position: Staff Co-Ordinator

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: 39

Job description:

We are creating a new post to work with and support our glue/finishing departments Gluing Manager. Experience in associated print/packaging industry would be beneficial to the role.

The successful candidate would monitor staff levels to support the machine crews, to introduce good working practices within the teams and to regulate holiday rotas to maintain optimum manning levels.

Creating bespoke training programmes that would develop and support the roles within the department and reporting directly to the Gluing Manager on all aspects of progress and improvement in the teams.

Hours 39 per week, Monday – Thursday 10.00am – 7.00 pm (½ lunch), Friday 11.00am – 4pm

Position: Production Assistants

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: Full time positions, varying shift patterns

Job description:

Production Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the machine operator in preparing the jobs
  • Feeding the machine during the run to ensure optimum output
  • Assisting as required with cleaning and maintenance of the machine
  • General housekeeping of the machine and surrounding area
  • Checking quality of the jobs going through the machines
  • Control check paperwork

Production Assistant Requirements:

  • Ability to select the correct materials and correct quantities
  • Able to keep up with the machine to ensure good speeds are met on the runs
  • A genuine desire to progress in the print industry
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • An interest in the printing and packaging industry
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in new technologies
  • A polite, friendly and positive manner
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but full training is offered

Position: Class 1 HGV Driver

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: Full time with overtime and nights out

Job description:

Responsibilities of the Class 1 HGV Drivers:

  • Delivering to customers UK wide
  • Some forklift and warehouse work
  • Overnight trips

Requirements of the Class 1 HGV Drivers:

  • Full and valid Class 1 HGV licences and a valid CPC licence
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and handle a wide variety of responsibilities
  • Be the face of the business when making deliveries
  • Treating all internal and external customers with kindness, dignity and respect

 

Position: Warehouse Operative/Despatcher

Type of position: Permanent

Number of hours / shift pattern: full time position, 3 week pattern, early, late and day shift

Job description:

The position would involve:

  • Dispatching finished goods
  • Stock checks
  • Movement of stock
  • Wrapping pallets for transportation
  • Segregation of overs and required stock
  • Associated paperwork including computerised system
  • Goods in

The above requires a person with:

  • excellent problem solving skills;
  • the ability to work well under pressure;
  • the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • good communication skills;
  • excellent numeracy skills;
  • the desire to continually improve.

You must hold a current fork lift licence and experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
